Role-specific restrictions can be set at the POS to control the maximum discount that can be given to customers. The discount restriction is always set as a percentage, not as a fixed amount in euros.
1. You can access the POS settings by going to Sales > Sales > POS and clicking Settings next to the desired POS.
2. In the POS settings, select the Discount Restrictions tab.
3. A general maximum discount percentage can be set for the POS. Note that it’s best to use the general discount percentage only if role-specific restrictions are not in use.
To add role-specific restrictions, click Add Discount Restriction. A separate rule must be created for each role. After selecting the role and setting the maximum allowed discount percentage, click Save* and then click Save again at the bottom right of the page.
At the POS, a person with role-specific discount restrictions will see the maximum discount they can apply for each product individually.
If a person with role-specific discount restrictions attempts to give a discount exceeding their allowed limit, the system will display an error and indicate the maximum allowable discount.
