A bookkeeping account can be locked from the chart of accounts to prevent further editing.
2. To lock an account, all references to it must be removed. References can be found in the account editing view, accessed by clicking on the desired account.
Click on the references section.
→ "Show"
3. After clicking the "Show" button for references, the system provides the references with links. These links direct to locations where the bookkeeping account is in use. This allows for easy switching of bookkeeping accounts.
4. When there are no references to the bookkeeping account, the account can be locked. The account must first be hidden before it can be locked.
A locked account still appears in reports from past periods, maintaining historical data unchanged. However, no transactions can be made to the locked account. If a locked bookkeeping account is attempted to be included in a transaction, the transaction remains incomplete, and additional information will indicate that the account is locked.
