Instructions - WiseCMS: Article Settings

In the "Settings" section of the article, you can define various aspects, including search engine optimization, layout style, viewing permissions for roles, and publication time.

Article Settings

Article settings can be defined and edited in the content editor that appears on the right side of the article.

The content editor automatically opens when creating a new article or editing existing ones. The "Settings" section is located at the bottom of the content editor.

Search Engine Optimization

SEO Headline

The SEO title is the article's headline visible to search engines. It is determined directly from the article's title if not changed in this section. The length is limited to 65 characters.

It appears, for example, in search engine results and at the top of the browser as the page title.

SEO Description

A description visible under search results in search engines. It provides essential information about the website's content. Length is limited to 150 characters.

Article URL

If desired, you can assign a shorter URL address to the article. Search engines also appreciate short and user-friendly URLs.

Page Layout

Layout

There are several layout styles available for the page/article. If you want to use different layout styles, you need to contact WiseNetwork support.

Width

By choosing "Full Width," you can expand the article to the full width of the page (and hide the right sidebar with its elements).

Organizing Information

Category

Categories serve multiple purposes. They allow you to:

  • Retrieve articles from the article management listing.
  • Determine where on the site the article is displayed (e.g., the latest article appearing in the site's "news" section with the "news" category).
  • Add news to the application.

Key words

This field does not impact search engines and is not mandatory to fill. You can add keywords to help you remember the article.

Automating article highlights based on keywords is also possible.

Permissions

Viewing Permissions

In this section, you can define viewing/read permissions for different roles.

Permission description

In this field, you can specify individuals who have the rights to update the particular page/article. If you want to give all users with editing rights the ability to make changes to the article, leave this field empty.

Publishing and Expiry Time

If the publication time is set in the future, the article will become visible only on the specified day. If the publication time is not manually set, it will automatically be the first save time of the article.

If you want the article to be removed from visibility on a specific day, mark it here. Otherwise, leave this section empty.
