WisePlatform and industry-specific solutions can implement two-factor authentication using the Google Authenticator app. Two-factor authentication applies only to admin users accessing the system's administration panel, not end customers. In the future, two-factor authentication will become mandatory for all our customers when logging into admin management.
Enabling Two-Factor Authentication
Note: If your company wishes to enable two-factor authentication, please contact us using this form.
1. Once WiseNetwork has activated two-factor authentication in your system (and informed you in advance of the rollout date), all system admin users must enable two-factor authentication.
Each admin user will automatically see the following view, which provides instructions on how to enable two-factor authentication.
Note: Each client company is responsible for ensuring that all their system admin users are aware of the transition to two-factor authentication and know how to enable it.
2. First, install the Google Authenticator app on your phone from the App Store or Play Store.
3. Use the "Scan a QR code" function in Google Authenticator, which can be found behind the plus button in the app.
4. Scan the QR code displayed in the system using the "Scan a QR code" function in Google Authenticator. Alternatively, you can manually enter the 16-character setup key into Google Authenticator using the "Enter a setup key" function found behind the plus button. (This key will be stored in your Google Authenticator, and from it, Authenticator will generate temporary login codes.)
5. Test your login by entering the six-digit code displayed in the Google Authenticator app on the setup page.
6. Once you have successfully tested your login and the code was entered correctly, you can continue using the system as usual.
Logging in Using Two-Factor Authentication in the Future
1. Enter your email address and password on the login page, just as you have done up to this point.
2. You will encounter a second login page where you need to enter a six-digit code from the Google Authenticator app.
If you want your device to remember the login, check the box "Remember second step for 30 days on this device". Note that clearing your cache, for example, will also clear the remembered second-step login, requiring you to perform it again.
3. Once you have correctly entered the code provided by Google Authenticator, the login process is complete, and you can proceed to use the system as usual.
Notes:
- The six-digit code displayed by Google Authenticator changes automatically every 30 seconds. The code remains valid for one minute, so it can be used for up to half a minute after it changes.
- Do not write down the six-digit codes because an old code cannot be used to log in again. Instead, you can write down the 16-character code that appears only during the setup phase below the QR code, in a safe place.
- If you encounter difficulties logging into the system after enabling two-factor authentication, please contact our support team by phone at 030 030 0210 or by clicking this link.
- Two-factor authentication applies only to users with admin rights. End customers are not required to use two-factor authentication.
