See instructions on how to add gift cards for sale to the online store.
1. Let's move to the system's administrative side and select
→ ”Sales”
→ ” Products”
→ ” Products”
Create a new product card for the online store by clicking on the top of the page.
2. Name the new product, for example, with the name 'Gift Card,' and select 'Gift Card' from the dropdown menu as the product type (this refers to an electronic gift card).
Click
"Gift Card" = Electronic gift card that can be used in the company's online store and whose balance can be viewed from the list of gift cards (Sales → Orders → Gift Cards).
"Printable Gift Card" = Paper gift card. As the name suggests, it's a PDF gift card delivered to the customer's email, which the customer prints out and uses in-store. The selling company has to keep track of the gift cards sold and their usage manually.
3. Set the product card visibility in the basic information section.
- Choose whether the gift card is visible in the online store (in the "visibility" section).
- Choose whether the gift card appears on the homepage in the section intended for online store products (in the "show on homepage" section).
- If desired, you can set a publication date and an expiration date for the product card, thus controlling the period during which the product is visible in the online store.
4. Set the selling price for the gift card. The VAT for gift cards should always be 0%, as VAT is recorded when the gift card is used.
5. "Write a product description for the gift card, detailing, for example
- Where can the gift card be used?
- How long is the gift card valid for?
- Can the gift card be used in parts?
- Where is it accepted as a means of payment and how is it used?
- The gift card is sent to the purchaser's email as a PDF file.
Finally, save the changes made.
Note! If you want to create gift cards with different values, create a separate product card for each (copy the product card and change the price accordingly).

7. Adding a Gift Card to the Online Store
Once the gift card product card is ready and set (as described in step 3) to be visible in the online store, it is then added to the desired menu item in the online store using categories.
Click.
→ Add product into web shop category.
If the desired category hasn't been created yet, create it in the online store's category management (see step 8). For example, you can create a "Gift Cards" section in the online store and add all gift cards available for purchase there.
8. Online store navigation is managed from the system's administration panel, under the section.
→ Sales
→ Products
→Categories
- A new category is added from the "Add category" -button.
- The visibility of categories is managed by ticking the checkbox at the end of the row.
- The order of categories can be changed by "dragging and dropping".
Gift Card Management
Sold gift cards and their balances can be viewed from the system's administration panel under the section.
→ Sales
→ Orders
→ Gift cards
Here you can also refund the value of the gift card if the customer has intended to use the gift card but hasn't completed the order.
