Instructions - WiseMarketing: Embedding a Data Collection Form (Survey) into an Article (Stage 3)

With the WisePlatform data collection tool, a completed survey form can be embedded into an article on a website.

Tip:

When you want to embed a survey on a website, a good way to proceed is as follows:

  1. First, create an article in the article management system where the survey will be embedded. At this stage, it suffices to add just a title and an introduction to the article.

  1. Create a new survey using the data collection tool (set the details correctly in the settings tab, add at least one question in the editor tab, and save the survey).

  1. Embed the survey into the article created in the article management system.

  1. Now, the survey form can be previewed in the article environment. Make changes to the survey form in the data collection tool, refresh the article page, and preview.

Note: Before embedding the survey form into the article, both the article and the survey form must be created in the system.

3. In the article editing mode, select the "Data Collection" element from the content editor on the right side, which is then dragged (or clicked) onto the content area of the article.

4. Access the settings of the data collection element by clicking on the pencil icon on the element.

5. Select the desired data collection form from the dropdown menu and click

"Save".

Save the article as usual with the "Publish" button, after which the selected survey will appear in the article.

If you do not wish to embed the survey form in a separate article, the form can also be shared using the URL link that opens from the "preview" button in the data collection tool.

Once the survey is ready, it can be sent to customers as a link attached to an email marketing message (either as an article link or a data collection preview link). Note that the survey form itself cannot be embedded directly into the email message.
