In this article, we will discuss the merging of duplicate user profiles. Duplicate profiles may be created in the system when a customer, for example, registers with two different email addresses.
Duplicate profiles arise when a customer registers with two or more email addresses. This can result in purchased products and access rights not being linked to the user's primary account.
Instructions for merging profiles:
Go to https://admin.(your admin URL).fi/?action=concatuser
Set the source user, that is, in the left column, the person who HAS a username.
Set the target user, that is in the right column, the person who DOES NOT HAVE a username.
Press Transfer data (Note! The merge cannot be undone, so make sure it is indeed the same person)
The merging of user profiles is complete, and you can verify in CRM that the person's card displays the correct information.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
Some of your customers may not be registered, so neither profile may have a username. In this case, the profile will be marked as NO Username in the merging tool.
The person placed on the left (Source User) will overwrite the details of the person on the right (Target User), meaning the information of the person on the left will remain in the system. The 'more important' profile is chosen as the Source User.
If both or all of the customer's profiles have a username, select the profile to be retained as the Source User on the left side.
The merging tool combines tags and roles, so make sure to check after the merge that they are as desired!
