Role management defines precise read and edit permissions for other areas of the system. Each user has personal credentials to which different roles can be added. Roles can be constructed very precisely, and if necessary, permissions can be tailored down to individual actions, even for individual users. Subpages can be created on websites, such as for different teams or companies, allowing each participant to edit only their own page.
Roles are also used to build intranet and extranet pages, accessible only to logged-in users with specific roles. Organizational announcements and general news may contain overlapping content, making it sensible to implement both materials using the same publishing system.
